04 D2 Inside Rear View Mirror Replacement
My rear view mirror is broken and Im trying to replace it, but Im not seeing where the wiring connector is. Ive removed the whole arm from the windshield bracket and the wiring runs up into the headliner but Im hoping theres an easier way to access it.
Any advice?

Crack open the plastic clamshell trim.
The mirror has a connector underneath the plastic trim on the mirror base & another one further up in the headliner. If you are swapping the mirror the exact same one = same lower plug.
I have to get the windshield replaced soon so Im trying to figure this out and replace the mirror myself.
Thanks.
If Im understanding you correctly, the plastic arm that has the ball and socket on one end (that connects to the mirror) has a plug inside the plastic arm. This would allow me to disconnect it from there rather than going under the headliner?
