2000 Disco II alarm problem?

Did you test/replace/charge your battery yet? I understand it worked one time but since your original problem sounded like a weak battery this is where I would start before I spent any more time on the alarm. When trouble shooting, esp with electrical problems always start simple, battery, fuses and connections.

It was the battery afterall. New battery in the truck and everything is fine again. No problem at all with syncing the remote.


The Disco II alarm remains a riddle wrapped in an enigma. Didn't learn anything about it along the way. Maybe that is the way they built it?

Perhaps I should have stuck to my guns about the battery being the possible problem, but thought that you getting it started ruled that out.

Glad it worked out.
