Classic problem with CKP - crank shaft position sensor. When stopped, engine block heats the sensor just a little more. Sensor connections inside open up. Pour cold water on it to speed up return to normal. Won't get better.

Confirm with a spare spark plug - when it quits, plug in the spare and lay on manifold, crank, check for sparks. No sparks if CKP dead. Don't have CKP hold the plug while testing, that is considered bad form.

Sensor is $50 - $80. You can DIY, but some prefer to pay a shop an hour for this. The access is tight, needs long pliers, and you have to plug sensor in and let it hang to remount. Take parts off with care and put back in same order, guys mess up the spacers all the time and can't start with a new one.

Now if the spark test is OK, then look a fuel pump electrical connections under plate and carpet in the cargo area.
