36mm Fan Wrench?..water pump replacement.

pinion/drive flange-holder, tool "LRT -51 -003" as seen on page 672 of the workshop manual, CNC-cut from .25-inch steel and constructed identical to the Land Rover tool.

Also cut from .25-inch steel, a 36mm wrench that is 25-inches long.
I made both of these to work on my Disco2, so they function perfectly. Message me an offer and in the meantime I will weigh and investigate shipping cost.

No, it is not reverse thread. If the wrench is sticking up, you move it toward the passenger side to loosen the fan.
I personally use a huge adjustable wrench. I believe 40 mm is its maximum diameter. It just barely fits on the fan shaft and just barely sticks up enough to be manipulated, but it has the benefit of being more flexible than a fixed 36mm wrench. I keep it in my tool bag all the time, which turns out to be a good idea because my water pump recently failed when I was 600 miles from home.

The secret to fan thread identification is to note which way the blades are pointing towards the radiator, that is the way to turn to loosen the nut. LR3s are opposite D2.
