'99 D2 Wont Start!
Got in my D2 this morning and the hazard lights were blinking. Tried to start. Lights and radio come one, but it will not turn over. ALternator is only a couple of months old. Could it be the solenoid?

Mike,
I assume resetting the Inertia Switch and the Alarm Switch is simply pressing them - which I did. The car still won't start. Battery is fully charged. Fuses all good. Alternator new.
Any other suggestions?

Well, resetting the Inertia and Alarm switches didn't fix the problem. I found a related post that recommended locking and unlocking the drivers side door three consecutive times. I did it and Voila!, it started. What does this mean? Was the starter relay interrupt tripped? My passenger side door lock does not lock anymore. I may have locked the other doors with the Key Fob and inadvertantly tripped the alarm, disabiling the Starter Relay.
Am I close?
Thanks,
Mike

Hi guys, I think this thread might be related to a problem I have. I have been trying to start my DII that has been parked since I went to Iraq last year in April. I thought it was the battery so bought a new battery. Plugged it in and get nothing but power to electronics and incessantly blinking hazard lights. Do you guys think I have a similar problem? The truck has been in outside storage.
If you think it is the inertia and alarm thingy...how do I reset that exactly? Thanks guys. You guys are always here for me.

Did all this start after you opened the hood and swapped out battery? If so, the truck "woke up" and thought the barn door was open, so the alarm and immobilzation kick in. The inertia switch looks like an ice cube size gizmo on the wire wall, press button on top to reset. You can try the lock/unloc multipl times, if you have a key fob you can try that also. Alwasy a good idea on a dead battery situation before jumping or new battery to hold down the hood alarm switch.
