Alarm going off, super-locked??
Good morning y'all
First time Discovery owner (first time forum poster).
I disconnected my battery terminals this morning to change the spark plugs on my 2004 Discovery. When I reconnected, the alarm started blaring. In addition, the electronic locking system disabled, I can't start the car and the key won't turn in the driver's side door lock. The key does turn in the ignition, but the car won't start or turn over even. All door locks work manually, except the driver's side.
Any info on:
1) How to fix the driver's side door lock?
2) How to disable the alarm?
Does this sound like a super locked situation? Again, I'm new to auto work and forums. Appreciate any and all help.

Welcome to the forum. You've come to the right place for help.
I'm sorry to read about the problems you are having with your truck. They can be maddening.
It sounds like the immobilization system has been triggered. Are any of your keys a keyless entry handset (commonly referred to here as a fob)? If yes, try locking and unlocking the doors a couple times with the buttons on the handset. That should clear/reset the immobilization system. If you don't have a keyless entry handset this will be more challenging.
As for the key not turning in the door lock, I had that problem six years ago. Check out my thread linked below, and scroll down to post #13 for the details of how I fixed it.
And no, your truck is not superlocked. Superlock refers specifically to a mechanism that disables the doors from being unlocked/opened using the interior door handles. Can you open the driver's door using the interior door handle?
Please also tell us where you are located. There may be a forum member nearby who can help you out.
