Smile Anybody know what this plug is and where it goes?

I had my Disco undercoated today with w/woolwax, and the undercoater advised me this plug (as seen in the pic) fell out, and they could not get it back in. He was kind enough to take some pics of where it came from.

Does anybody know what this plug is and where it goes?
And where I can get a new one as this one is pretty deteriorated?

It goes in that big open hole In your picture. It’s for accessing the Torque converter bolts. Atlantic British among many others sells them. They swell over time and are hard to get back in.

Awesome!, Thank you for the quick reply. I was afraid I was driving with my trans/or transfer case fluid splashing out.

Make sure to check the other side too, there are two of them.

And unless you’re doing some deeper wading, it’s not that critical that you have it installed.
Ditto on the swelling. I think it’s highly unlikely that you’ll get the old one back in.
