I got a cheap battery at walmart a couple years ago when I first bought the truck (no battery in it and I just wanted to drive it home). I would not recommend those at all. I have had it replaced twice now. It was under warranty both times but still a waste of time since they have to test it first.

What was the battery size you purchased from BatteriesPlus?

I've started running Rural King batteries in everything! $50-$60 depending on the size. I get the biggest that will fit that has both top and side posts, for easy swapping between vehicles when needed. They've got two battery's like that.

They're made by Exide, so they're good quality too. I've got... I think four of em in the fleet at the moment.

boy how things change! I learned this would be a expensive mistake after 2 of these dying on me less than 2yrs old
...never will I ever buy any battery from this company - they do not honor their own warranty - screw them !
After tons of research and options I bought a advanced auto parts AGM Battery with a great return policy and paid less than 130 bucks! Been working great, could not be happier

Went with a Sam's Club battery for my D1 - was almost the best cold crank score but was about 50% less than that one so figured they all die after 2 or 3 years anyway - AAA is a great warranty and service if you let it sit a lot
