If someone has an autobox out of the truck, a ZF4HP22-24, please can they remove the filler/level plug (8mm allen key) and measure the O/A thread diameter in millimetres and if possible the thread gauge, (i.e. M17x1.5 or whatever).

Please don't do this on an installed autobox as you'll get covered in ATF fluid if the autobox is cold. Also if the autobox is still filled with ATF, tilt it towards the 'tail end' before removing the plug to ensure the ATF doesn't come out.

 

If nobody comes along with one pulled I'll pull my truck up on a hill and pull my plug.

I've never used pull so many times in one sentence.

 

Many thanks Alex, it's not urgent so in a couple of weeks plus would be great for me. Be careful you don't end up swallowing a cupful of ATF though, it's poisonous and makes your shiny.
