Graphite will make it harder to get the bolt in, it will pack into the threads.

The thread on those might have been cross threaded. They got in eventually, but I’ll need to tap them next time. If anyone is wondering of replacement bolts for the bellhousing the medium lengths are 3/8”-16 x 2” and the short are 3/8” -16 x 1.25”. Bought the flange bolts at o’reilly’s

If you damaged then it will be a heli-coil repair,
