Thanks for the info my friend but I got the brake light problem squared away properly. I replaced the bulb & fixture, got rid of the butt splicing and replaced it with the proper connectors, applied Nomax to each wire termination and sealed off the wire boots with 3m liquid insulation.

I am beginning to laugh at all of the Gerry rigging that I am finding.

Working in a garage, I find all sorts of crazy "fixes" if you know what I mean. LOL!
I often wonder how these people bring their cars in without being completely embarrassed about what they've done. Many of them will tell you that they have no idea why it's not running right, or "the code just popped up on my way home from work the other day."
Oh well, more work for us I guess!
