I plugged in the new slabs unit, and tested it with the Lynx. Cleared 2 historical codes.

It's coil programmed. I also verified that the lynx can reprogram to air and vice-versa. Fired the car up, seems to work fine.
Hi Jeff, if the 04 SLABS has come from a coil rear suspension there should hopefully be no problems. The SLABS settings are primarily related to the ABS and SLS, involving air suspension, rear ride height sensors, SLS air compressor, ABS and sensors and TC operation.

Good it's not the BCU though, now that would be fun eh

Spoke too soon. Since I noticed I had the same SLABS after installing the new one, I decided to just leave it there. Now I have 4 amigos, abs error code 4022 - earth ground issue. Reverted back to my old one, works fine.
Fun little exercise removing and reinstalling the glove box twice...

If setting to air and it has never been set to air before, the ride height needs to be calibrated. Otherwise you end up with HDC and spring errors on the dashboard and you can't change the ride height.
I was not considering calibration a setting.

Interesting specificity. From what I could tell from a read-only POV (using a borrowed Hawkeye), calibration involves raising or lowering each side until a designated ride height is reached, and then setting that position as the baseline for that air spring.
However, that does not apply in Jeff's case since he's going the other direction. I assume that switching to coils makes the height settings irrelevant.

I have never calibrated a D2, but have done many LR3s, Im guessing the principal is the same. The tool being used cycles through the height settings then asks for you to take measurements and input into the tool. Then it makes adjustments and asks for a second set of measurements. Once those are confirmed and no faults it's done.
