creaking crunching sound while steering
If you put in to much when it gets hot and expands and builds pressure you can blow your axle seal and then your gear lube will get into your ***** and you will leak and have a mess.
No. Just clean them up really good, use carb cleaner or a good degreaser, like Simple Green or Krud Kutter. 20 pumps with your grease gun and call it good. If you are covered in goo again in a month then yes, you may have a problem. In a year, no.
OK, land rover swivel goo came in, and I installed that.
All fluids are correct, to include transmission, transfers, steering, and washer. . . .
Still getting the crunching and creaking....
to review:
1995 Disco 1, auto, 115k miles, with a crunching/creaking noise coming while turning, but under power only. It is a repeatable fault.
