D II died and then was alive
Late last nite I took a short cut on a logging road since its mud season. The left side of the car dropped into a wet muddy rut at 15 mph. The rover coughed to a kill. Several attempted restarts and nothing. Ten minutes later the rover starts but sounds loaded up, it clears and I drive away. The service eng light came on and the s/m trans lights were flashing until I turned off the car and restarted it, service eng light remains. The mostly stock D II has two inches of lift, this was a spot I would have never thought would be a problem.
I have not been out there this morning but will get under it.
Any ideas would be great, thanks..

I will not be able to have it read soon, it drives normally. Should I be afraid to drive it three hundred miles ? Is this switch able to be covered ? Like I posted this was a nothing rut and I went over it slowly....I'm scared..kidding
With no code reader, or the ever popular ultra gauge ($70) and 300 miles to the closest, you'll have to use your Jedi powers...
If the XYZ switch were to get wet and leak, it could be dried out perhaps with a hair dryer, etc. Have seen posts of guys drilling out the rivits and cleaning out the mud and re-sealing. But this might not be your problem. It is low on the transmission, mud and water not sealed so good, and makes tranny computer pout. But your results may vary.

Jedi powers, I think I used all that up last night when I got the restart. I will have to haul it down to Minneapolis to the super stud non-dealer rover shop. I will say though that SVS in Duluth,MN found a cracked coolant line when I was ready to say uncle to the dreaded head gasket. Thanks for the heads up...
