Is there a gasket for the differential? I'm swapping my differential to a new axle housing, and I'd like to put the proper gasket in there. I've found part diagrams that show a gasket, but don't list the part number... Anybody here know it? Do I have to custom cut something? Rear axle diagram (part #9 here)
I've also found threads recommending Hylomar 101. Hylomar is not readily available in Canada, and I'd rather not wait for it to ship from Europe if I don't have to. Any alternative recommendations?
Thanks!
Don't remember there being a gasket on the Dll...if memory serves me right...it just had an adhesive. The Defender, Dl use a gasket, which is the axle you have pictured...that is not a Dll axle housing, hubs are wrong.
There are plenty of gasket making adhesives that would do the job. Just talk to your local parts store rep.
