Discovery II v8 (SE7) No Forward Gears but Reverse Works
sorry for the cliffhanger!
The transfer case was completely empty which I ultimately think was the real issue, but before I discovered that I was in too deep with the gearbox removal I went ahead and completely removed and replaced the forward clutches. The forward clutches I took out were slightly burnt but in my opinion they didn't look that bad.
The transfer case had no fluid when I took out the drain plug but since getting everything reinstalled I've just been monitoring the levels closely and haven't had any issues and she's running great now!
I think it has a leak and really I need to remove and reseal the transfer case but I don't want to now that I finally got it running again lol.

The transfer box will work without fluid, it will just wreck itself quickly haha.
Good idea in the sight glass, I'll get one too.
