The D1 rear arm doesn't have the washer nozzle in it.

Yes
D1 take standard blades
D2 take stupid D2 only clips, that hold D2 only blades.
$16 for new D1 wiper blades is much better that $60+ for D2 blades.
And the D1 kit, arms, bolts, bolt caps and blades is only $60.
The D1 blade clears better too.
It's worth doing.

Yes, the part #: DKB102710 is the same for both sides. Just do this "mod" you will be very glad you did!

Yep, they fit perfectly, I dumped the 2003 D2 arms and run with D1 arms, much better range of blades. Also you can fit silicon aero type blades.

I did this mod with the Lucky 8 arms hoping for more pressure on the windscreen. Did not get that though... still blades are now cheap enough to find the ones that work best.

With the old blades I would get snow and slush freezing up on the blade and not enough pressure to clear it if snow was coming down heavy.

The Icon blades work fine in rain but I don't think i would get enough pressure out of those either so I'm back to blades with braces in the arm.
