engine no start

Default engine no start

after running warm turn engine off let stand for a while try to start engines turns over but no start placed a gas rag in air box turn over eng still no sign of wanting to start checked for spark none let vehicle sit for a couple hours try again and it starts runs good when running any fix

Prime candidate for new crank position sensor, it cools off and sparks return, you can pour water on it to speed that up, does not always throw codes, $70, every little spacer and nut that comes off goes back in exactly same sequence or it won't work. See attached.

Yep, sounds like the Crank Position Sensor.

Not sure who told you to throw a gas rag in the filter box, stupidiest thing I have ever heard of. Do you realize there are 2 heated elements inside the MAF that could have flash the gas vapor and burned your truck to the ground!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
