Engine Replacement- What to buy
All,
I am interested in learning about engine replacement (can't fix the tick).
Assuming that it will be:
- Remanufactured or new (not interested in used)
- Block and heads (want to replace everything associated with the tick)
Any experience with engine suppliers?
Look forward to learning from the experience of others.
Thanks.

Mike,
I have read the article about clearance of the pushrods / lifters. There were no shims in my truck. It is not clear for me how shims relate to low oil pressure. I think that my problem is that I have 7-8 psi of oil pressure. The RAVE manual says >10 is minimum. 1500 rpms brings oil pressure and the end of the ticking.
Where do you go to fix oil pressure after a new front cover (oil pump), lifters/pushrods/rocker arms/rocker arm shaft, new main bearings and new rod bearings?
Thanks in advance if you can provide any information.
Unfortunately, Japser doesn't do Land Rover engines (at least for a D2), something I've brought up with our sales rep. That's really too bad, because they could probably come up with a permanent fix for every single problem that plagues these engines!
