My 4.0 is almost up to 200,000 miles now. So thats 15,385 gallons of gas at 13 mpg X $3.00 per gallon = $46,155

Default Future value

What do you think of the resale value would be for a Discovery with a diesel.
I have a 98 D1 worth $5000 to $6000 but now it has a weak V8, so lower value.
Add a diesel to a D1 it should have a sale value of $10,000.
People pay $10,000 for an import from Japan 1993 Toyota Surf (US 4Runner) diesel right hand drive.
Add a diesel to a D2, what would the sale value be?
Have you found any examples yet?
When the price of gas doubles, these diesel Disco’s should have more value to the knowledgeable enthusiast.

Land rovers have about the worst resale value anyway unless you have a defender..they seem to go up every year...I spend from $6 to $8,000.00 on gas for my POS per year. If i run diesel and WVO i will pay for my conversion the first year and not have to worry about much for years to come so again, i dont care but after seeing all the intrest for sure someone would pay for it.

Thanks Chris
