So I opened up my steering wheel "shroud" to access and clean the wiper switch arm a few weeks ago. Upon re-assembly by Rover thinks I've left my key in the truck and beeps any time the driver door is open. I've tried to open it and check connections again but I can't seem to find the culprit.

Has anyone had this problem before or know what causes it?

 

So I removed the clear plastic thing that goes around the lock barrel and this cleared up my issue. Upon inspection I think it may have just been dirty and blocking the light, or I installed it wrong and it was blocking the light. Either way I'm running fine without it now.
