Fuel Injector Woes
Hey Guys I just finished my head gaskets. While I had everything apart I put new wires, plugs, hoses, serpentine belt, water pump on. I was trying to make the car as reliable and take care of as much preventative stuff as I could.
While I had it torn down I took out the injectors and had them cleaned and checked. We have never had any problems with the car other than the head gaskets but the shop told me the injectors were leaking down pressure.
I asked if the volume and the spray patterns were good, and he said they were so I put them on the car.
Now whenever we start the car its a little hard to start, I presume from the fuel pressure needing to build. If we just shut it down for 10 minutes or so it starts right up, it is hard to start if it sits for more than a half hour or so.
I guess I need to bite the bullet and put new injectors on, what do you all think.
Thanks

If you do replace them, I haven't seen them cheaper than at Summit.

Sounds like your fuel pump is not holding pressure.
I have never heard of a injector not holding pressure unless it was clogged and leaking, but then it would be hard to start from to much gas in the cylinders.
Have the fuel pump checked out, I am betting that is the problem.
