Starting fluid works. Spray a little through the straw at the suspected source. If the engine surges, you found a way in that shouldn't be there.

No luck with cleaning my IACV. It was dirty as hell in there but it didnt seem to help much if at all. And yes I cleared the codes before I restarted her. Going away for the next week or so but I will order those parts on payday and see if I can find a vaccum leak when I get home.

Whats the best way to check for a vaccum leak?
If you don't have one, a vacuum gauge is really helpfull in narrowing down what to look at and does not cost much. Connect with hose and t fitting. Helpful chart: http://www.international-auto.com/fi...uum-gauges.cfm

Here is a good article on using fuel trim as a tool to help diagnose engine vacuum leaks. If you have or have access to a Hawkeye diagnostic scanner, you can see the short and long term fuel trim values. Not sure what other scan tools might show you the same information. That way you can figure out if a vacuum leak is the likely culprit before spending a whole day looking for a bad hose.

Just got back from vacation and havent gotten around to screwing with the rover yet. I will prolly spend saturday trying to find a vaccum leak that may or may not exist and removing my fuel filter to see if it is clogged or not.

Why am I unable to find fuel filters for D2s on any website? I tried AB and roverland to no avail. Is it part of the fuel pump assembly or something? I was under the impression that it was an inline filter located on the frame rail behind the driver's side rear tire, is that not correct? (im not at home so I cant just go out and crawl under her to look or check it out in the RAVE manual)

Anybody got any info on where to get a fuel filter at?

X2. You must replace the entire assembly. Sucks for you DII owners.
