Default Head gasket job done! But...

Guys, if you recall from a post of mine from last week, I had my head gasket job done, and they also changed the rockers. Well......The darn thing now ticks even louder than before[:@]. Weird thing is that it ticks when warm??? I still suspect an exhaust leak at the exhaust manifolds.

guess what...it also still leaks oil[:@]another weird fact, is that the oil that I find at the bellhousing is quite a bit darker that the oil that I find on the dipstick[&:]It doesn't actually leak to the point of dropping on the ground, but when wipped dry, it gets moist within my 12 miles commute to work.

As far as the coolant goes, I know it takes a couple of days before the level actually settles and can be monitored. I still need a couple of days to confirm if it still leaks or not.

Dealer says to bring it back and they'll fix whatever is wrong, but I need your input. How could the aboves symptoms be explained ?

experience anyone ??

Don't depend on everyone theroys, just get it back into the dealer. I would suggest if it is a D2 to power scrub the engine to get every bit of oil off the engine, them check it in a day od so, if leaking the dealer will be able to find the problem easily.

Is it coming from between the bellhousing and engine? Perhaps it is the rear crankshaft seal? I replaced a leaking one on my beamer not too long back, when I was changing the clutch.

Funny you ask, cause no later than last week, I removed the round cap and all is perfectly dry in there. I'll check again to make sure that the synthetic 5W30 (which is thinner than what I usually use), is not making its way in there.

And Mike, I just ask to find out the possible causes of those symptoms. It's a sure thing that its going back.

That's cool, I've seen that cap, that's useful.
