Replaced EVERYTHING on my 99 DII and still did NOT work, came opon this vid,did everything in the vid and IT Worked !! Here is the vid...

 

“Old” Thread but I replaced my Fuse Block in my 2001 and my blower started working as normal.

 

common fault..the power trace for cabin blower corrodes /fails and fan gets no power....fix is to add a bypass pos power line directly from battery (with inline fuse of appropriate amperage)

I saw that fix and decided just to replace the fuse block. That did the trick and it's blowing strong now.

 

Ref. 2002 Disco II. No blower . Hello all ! This forum has been fantastic and I sure as hell learned a lot about this issue ! Bought this Disco for 700 bucks and we love it. Living in Fla, no ac is NOT an option. And this vehicle is black. I just want to add something I didn't see here (doesn't mean it's not). After checking everything I can , changing fuse block twice thinking the yard sent me a bad one since a lot of Discos had this issue. I then looked up the wire colors for the AC/Heater blower. Then I looked behind fuse block to find they were terminated (brown red and yellow green). What this told me was that this happened in this vehicles past and they already performed a work around (fuse block). I did not see this due to not taking off the lower kick panel that would have shown me this. Someone had put in a separate fuse panel for both #6 and #7. Bottom line is you could throw fuse blocks at it all day and nothing would happen at 6 and 7. Fuse blocks are becoming scarce anyway mostly due to this issue with fans. So, I made this a much bigger issue no checking incoming power and seeing if something in the vehicles history may have been done. Just my two cents if it helps. Oh, the fuse for #7 was too small and burnt. We will see how the 30 holds up. Capt. T

 

you replaced the interior fuse block ? Or engine fuse block?
