Default HVAC Question 03' Disco

I hope someone out there has encountered this issue... Actually is a Land Rover you probably all have. I started encountering intermittent starts and stops with my AC Unit it would randomly turn on and off. Then it just stopped running. I ran the diagnostic procedure and am getting code 21 and 22 which according to RAVE are Sunlight Sensor left and right output open. I read somewhere that this is more typically a resistor pack issue. Any thoughts?

First step is probably to check Low side pressure to make sure there's enough refrigerant in the system. If it's low the compressor will not run. There is a pressure switch as a safety mechanism to stop compressor from seizing due to no lubricating oil flowing through the hoses. If pressure is low you likely have a leak. Problem areas for o-ring failure I have found are top side of compressor (both High side and Low side) and the dryer, located behind the front grille.

Default Nothing runs

Nothing runs. The fan will not run and the only thing working is the display for the HVAC System. A couple of months ago (during the winter) the heater would turn on and off intermittently for say 3 seconds on 5 minutes off. Now nothing works..

That would be my guess. It's more likely a blend door issue.

Read the RAVE section about it.
