Default I Need Help Please

Hello everyone I started my 4 week road trip from chicago to El paso texas 10 days ago In my 1999 disco series 2 120k miles and since then I had my water pump blow out lucky it was while getting gas at Petro Truck stop..(stuck at petro truck stop in Springfield Mo. for three days) I had a hard time finding parts and tools 1" 7/8 wrench to change out pump and clutch removal tool. Managed to fix it Myself in 40 degree weather then the air bleed screw broke fixed it with rubber tire patch and adjustable hose clamp and then in Arlington Texas I had my throttle cable get stuck and almost crashed at 75 miles and hour after hitting the pedal several times with my foot on the brake trying to slow down it loosed up and It finally snapped when I arrived to El Paso I found a used one in good shape at a local Junk Yard changed it out. Now the "Down hill decent light" is on and the "TC" light is on. (not the three amigos) since ABS light is not on... I also have one other problem I need to fix and that is the AC I keep blowing the 10 amp fuse (under the hood fuse box) I had a new AC Compressor installed last year in August and worked great for the few remaining warm days and now this year it blows super cold for 5-10 minutes then the fuse blows out. Its in the mid 80s here and AC would be great to have right now. I've taking it out in the desert here and had some fun but I need help with the current problems. (i've had two head gaskets replaced in the past) I also purchased the coolong hose "t" with bleeder screw for $ 3.00 There are about 4 discos here at the junk yard 1999 through 2004 (what parts should I stock up on I already stocked up on lug nuts at .50 Cents a piece ) I some times I ask myself why I still own this truck hahahaha

It's likely the condenser fans are the cause of the blown fuse.

T-Stat, CPS, bleed screw, oil and coolant are what I keep with me. Most everything else is either too big, too expensive, fairly reliable or won't leave me stranded even if I did need. Replacing things IAW scheduled maintenance before they "go" has worked well for me. I'll do my water pump shortly at 80k mi.

Add to your kit: Serpentine belt, ACE Fluid, jumper cables, gallon of 50/50 coolant, assorted fuses, a few Bosch 4-lug relays. I also keep a cheapo OBDII reader from Harbor Freight and a can of R134a with a filling hose with me... because I know my A/C will go low on refrigerant on the hottest day of the Summer when I'm wearing a suit and tie.

I will add to items already mentioned to keep in your D2:

Have spare non key FOB keys cut and keep spares, can of PB Buster, rescue tape, hose clamps, brake light/pedal switch, 6 ft of gas line hose with small hose clamps to replace broken small coolant lines or other lines, tire repair kit with plugs and glue, 2 tubes of silcone gasket/sealant, 32 mm fan clutch wrench, new T-stat with used hoses with the plastic T if you can find a set of used hoses cheap at the salvage yard, few feet of generic heater hose, Spare valve stem and valve stem tool, add a 40A blade fuse in your fuse collection, electrical extension cord, dremel tool with cutting wheels and at least a 400W power converter to power it, a couple inexpensive reflective blankets, instant hand warmers, rain poncho, medium weight tarp, paracord, good size hammer, good variety of rachets, with extensions, universal socket swivels, open-end/box-end flat wrenchs, hex wrenchs or hex bit sockets, torx bit sockets, needle nose pliers, set of wire strippers/crimpers with crimp connectors, shrink tubing, elec. tape, duck tape, a few feet of size 12-14 and 16-18 wire, a piece of med. grade sand paper, set of needle files, small shovel, wire coat hanger. JB Weld, epoxy

Preventive:

- Replace the plastic fill plugs on the diffs with $4 brass fill plugs from Rovahfarm.com using gasket sealant where the o-ring would normally go, or spend $20 each and get the brass plugs with o-ring from expedition exchange.
- clean all exterior bulb connectors and apply dielectric grease.

^Wow! Everything that's in my garage, except I don't have the hand warmers.

I would suggest 1 item, and 1 only:

AAA premium membership.
