Suede I dont have a cap i have coils

there is no distro cap on my truck its got coils ......

We have done dyno tests at the BMW shop I work at and on the older cars that still use a plug wires we saw zero difference in lap times or power between new OE 6.5mm wires and performance 8mm wires.

Electricity actually runs on the outside of the wire wraps, not the core. Therefore with a larger diameter the 8mm is capable of carrying a larger current than a 6.5 or 7mm due to the larger surface area. If using an ignition system designed around 6.5mm wires it is only going to put out current designed for 6.5mm wires so of course the current isn't going to change with 8mm wires, only the potential to carry more current will change.

I know for a fact that 8mm wires do make a difference on these Rover engines. If you want to discuss BMW you need to go to another forum. Anything that happens with a BMW has nothing to do with Rovers and is just useless information.
