Hi,

I have a 2000 Landrover Discovery 2.

Non-regularly my key will not turn. I have no trouble putting the key into and taking out of the ignition, typically when this happens eventually the key turns. It may be related to the alarm (however I'm unsure), some times if I accidentally push the wrong combo of keys on the key the alarm goes off. Does the rover lick the ignition? If so is there some time limit it remains locked?

Any insights you may have would be greatly appreciated.

try turning the wheel back and forth as much as you can (it should be locked) as you are turning the key
