If you go for the D1 check for the 4.0L engine. The distributor cap was replaced by a coil pack, less bound to failure. If I remember well, they introduced the 4.0L in 1997. And a more recent vehicle means less mileage

Every 4.0L had the coil pack. Coil packs are more reliable and they handle water better than distributor caps, when your plug wire are good of course. This is a plus if you plan to off road your truck a lot.
