You know I ordered the O2s from British Parts of Utah (formerly Rover Connection)-- they suggested me an after market 55$ (which is this MHK100920W > $55), but now I am contemplating on getting the slightly more pricey (70$) OEM Bosch... The sales person did say that the cheaper one was the most popular one.

I have just called them and changed the order to the OEM-- smart to change? or keep the after market? Please advise

Go with the OEM.
They should last longer.

the sensors are the same, eh? or does a slight added resistance of say, a butt connector, alter the reading of the sensor?

All the bike manufacturers I work with and even when I worked for a VW dealer would warn about generic O2 sensors, while the added resistance of whatever connecting method is used will sometimes throw a code, it's the heating elements that they warn of the most.

Had a bike that threw no codes, but would run for a bit, then pop the fuel pump fuse. after a couple of hours of diag, I determined it was the heating element in the aftermarket O2 sensor used in the "performance" exhaust. It would get to a certain temp, it would short out. Popping the fuel pump fuse, the O2 sensor heating also ran through that fuse.

The factory wanted me to replace the main wire harness.

Your statement is exactly why I say that. You should never use a butt connector on a vehicle.

IF the universal has the same quality sensor and IF you solder the sensor in with the same length wire, it MAY be ok. I have been contemplating buying a set and wiring them into the harness correctly and testing them.

Yeh after reading all what is said about OEM parts (especially) regarding the O2s, I'm sold! The parts are on their way, so next week, I will get them on and roll on. PS: Yesterday was some AWESOME driving in the northeast (about 12-15" of snow)--anyone went about sledding around NYC/Westchester?
