I am replacing the valley pan gasket on my 2000 Disco II and the manual says put rtv on the engine block and cylinder head prior to putting the seals in. When I took the old one out there was very little rtv any where just a little where the block and head meet together at the ends. Reading the book you would think that you need to put it all along the heads where the gasket touches them but I beleive this to be wrong. Where in the heck do I put the rtv sealent.
