Unhappy My mechanic couldn't figure it out! Any ideas?

Hi there,

I have a 2003 DII with 130,000 miles. Recently, all the head gaskets, hoses have been replaced. Now I am getting 3 OBD codes: 0441, 1412 and 1415. I got a new purge valve from British Atlantic and it has been replaced. But despite that, I got the same 3 codes the next day! Took it back to the mechanic and they said that they found a vacuum leak and fixed it. Then the next day, when I started the car, the SAI was making some weird noise but I didn't mind. Then in the afternoon, I got the same 3 codes of course!!! Took it back and they can't find any leak or any unplugged hose. And guess what? They suggested that I take it to a dealer!!!

Does anybody have any ideas?

Thanks

Bob

I bet he mixed up the connectors for the secondary air and the purge valve.

they look the same but are different colors and fit the same as well. You need to check the wiring diagram to make sure they are not mixed up.

purge valve is a black connector, with brown/pink wire and red and brown

secondary air solenoid is grey connector with brown/pink and blue and black
