Will do. However, if the in-line t-stat and/or an oil cooler buys me more time if/when she starts ticking again, I may go that route first...

I reached out to one of the members who pinned his sleeves 5+ years ago - he tells me his truck is still tick free and running well.

As for my tick, it seems to randomly come and go. I did the in-line t-stat and oil '02 oil cooler install and my temps normally run between 183-194. It helped a lot (with keeping the tick away), but it eventually crept back.

At some point, I still plan on pulling the engine, hot tanking the bare block, installing new cam bearings, and either pinning the sleeves or sending the block down to Q and E in So Cal to get top hat liners installed.

Other than the the occasional tick, she's a strong running DD At 220K - although I think it's time for some suspension bushing work.
