Default New trouble

So after putting the lift and tires on my D2 , a week later the truck is making some new noises ..Started out as a squeaking from the left front , kind of louder when taking a right turn .Sounded like a wheel bearing so i got a used hub and replaced it , Squeaking went away for a day , came back again ..front Drive shaft was original so i replaced it . Now the squeaking is gone and you can feel a little clicking sound when you start rolling and it turns into a roar / vibration when you get up to speed . back shaft is all right as is the rotoflex coupling . truck is parked for now and it is not getting driven until i can figure it out..Could this be a CV joint issue ? Help please ...Thanks in advance..

Maybe pull the front drive shaft and drive without it and see if it goes away. Could be something wrong with replacement?

I'd probably suggest locking the center diff before driving without the front driveshaft...

So i need to check if the sound happens when turning sharp left and right and then remove the front prop shaft and see if the problem goes away ...OK . i will try this..As far as i know the replacement drive shaft is OK . No play in the U joints what so ever...

Well, the D2 has classic CV joints in it - just like any run of the mill front wheel drive car.
Maybe those need grease or replaced?

Are your CV boots ripped?

Actually, the D1 is better in that respect.
No CV boots.
Seems more rugged.

You nailed it ..Bad replacement shaft..Tried a used one from a buddys bone yard of discos and sure enough that was it.. Replaced it with a servicable front shaft from AB and sure enough , sound went away...
