If you are getting current on the pins then test the resistance on solenoids (by measurnig across pins in the socket), if that is ok then i'd proceed with test in my previous post.
today it’s pouring out and all the ice was gone so when I got home from work I tried to put the transfer case in low and use Manuel to go forward. Nothing in 3, 2, or 1 so I utilized only having reverse to move the car out of the way. My first day of vacation on Wednesday I’m gonna swap the battery with a newer one I just got for my suburban. See if it’s voltage issues if not looks like I’m gonna have to tear apart the transmission right

I don’t have a voltage reader so I’ll just swap it with a brand new battery

get an UltraGauge. you can monitor voltage, amongst many other things, with it.

Typical ZF failure mode on D2 is failed forward clutch, trans has to come out to fix. Probably a good idea to get a good used one and just swap.
