Default parasitic battery drain

I have/had a parasitic drain and a bad xyz switch pulled, cleaned and replaced the xyz solved the m/s problem, but I didn't have a working meter before the fix. I am now showing .8 with the meter set to ten amps what should the normal reading be? thanks.

0.8 amps would be a high drain in the key off state. 800 milliamps. More usual for under 100 miiliamp (.1 amp). You can unplug fuses 1 by 1 to see when it changes. When doing this place something to hold down the hood alarm switch.

Put a little light bulb in series with the battery.
put the light bulb out and up high.
Then start to pull fuses - one by one until you get the light to go out.
That will get you to the circuit.

The culprit usually is ..
ready for this?

People putting in after market radios, amps and all that boom boom stuff.

Look for extra wiring going back to the overpriced made in China aftermarket crap. Oh I mean valued accessories.

Rap is not good if it drains the battery.
