was joking, btw.
I buy hubs on the scavenger market....6 used = 1 new.
proline = $300ish HUB ASSEMBLY FRONT WITH SENSOR DISCOVERY II, PLD676, TAY100060 - Rovers North - Classic Land Rover Parts
oe = $500ish...unless you get lucky..1999-2004 Land Rover Discovery Wheel Hub Assembly - Driveshaft & Axle - Timken, Front 99-04 Discovery Wheel Hub Assembly - 278-01173417 - PartsGeek

$300 is a better price than advance, they want $650...


anyone try the $100 ones on ebay?

I bought the cheapos from autopartswarehouse.com. No complaints yet. Also, find some coupons and you will get them for ~$100 delivered.

Replacement REPL283708 Wheel Hub | Auto Parts Warehouse

Tip: The front and back hubs are the same, except the wire for the front hub is longer. Buy a front hub and just cut the clips off (don't cut the wires) and zip tie the wires into a nice loop out of the way to use on the back.

Those are purchased strait off Alibaba for $30 with a 100 piece minimum. They pay shipping and then mark it up. I don't know what the difference is with them vs other aftermarkets. For all I know they are the same thing.

The ones we sell are Timken units, the same as factory....just for ze info.

Replacement parts are funny. I usually go cheap when I am buying replacement parts. Sometimes it works out, sometimes it doesn't. The thrifty part of my brain says "why pay more, when paying more is not a guarantee of quality." In any event, I am always much faster the second (or third) time I replace a part. I should teach a class on Land Rover water pump repair.

I got to come clean on this, I use air wrenches as well, often makes more sense rather than stripping knuckles to the bone
