About $25 bucks in my neck of the woods as of Nov/Dec time frame

Years ago, I recycled an intake that had studs and other steel items. At the time cast aluminum was $0.55, and they have me what the called aluminum "breakage" for $0.13 or $0.18 per pound, some thing like that. I got the full $0.55 some wheels at the same time though.

What is wrong with the block? Can it be aluminum welded,honed, and reused?
