So no need to worry about the newborn, besides, you can always cover him/her with a blanket, thats what we do, we have a 5 month old.
My daughter just turned one month, this was her first long trip. I am looking forward to her being 5 months old. Right now she just drinks milk, than keeps crying until she has burped, which is not an easy task in her, than cryes until she poops, than she cries until she is cleaned, than couple of hours of sleep and everything starts over.

I tested the battery and alternator today at autozone and they both checked out fine. yesterday I also removed and cleaned the idle air control valve, this thing was really dirty and sticky. today I drove it on highway for close to an hour at high speed and everything on, including the headlights, fog lights, dome lights, radio, phone charger and AC with fan at Max and the car was driving without any issues. I think the problem was really the dirty IACV and the computer, being dumb throw the TPS code at me. Buzz previously recommended to clean the IAcV, I just didn't know how. I think the IACV cleaning should be part of the induction cleaning in addition to the throtle body cleaning.

Back to tranny - see attached for a spot to check cables to tranny ECU (loose, contaminated), also check fuses 12 under hood and 24 under dash for cracked or corrosion (they power tranny ECU, which monitors battery volts).
