When a cowpoke is way past the edge of civilization, and depends on that truck to get home.... yep, I'd get attached, too.

BTW, the rest of us are fairly comfortable, and enjoy a lifestyle that depends on petrol to power our trucks, make our commute to the salt mine possible, and generally have the independence that a motor vehicle can provide. You guys (and gals) that are out there today, making it possible for the rest of us to live large.... well, thanks. And what ever they are paying ya is not half enough.
