I did this job two weeks ago. I did not take off the fan. Don't waste time ordering from Atlantic. Go to any parts house and just give them the number for the bearings. Buy the tensioner pulley and bearing together. This job is no big deal. Getting snap rings out to swap bearings was the hardest part but a small flat blade screwdriver does the trick.

Nope. No need to remove the fan. Just remove the fan shroud/guard, have a long breaker bar and a 13mm socket to pry up on the tensioner bolt to loosen the serpentine belt for pulley maintenance.

As others have suggested you don't need to remove fan but it does make job easier because you will have better access. If you have the right tools and have removed the fan before it only takes a couple of minutes off/on. Work smarter not harder.
