Default Ticking Noise 2003 Land Rover Disco

we have a ticking noise in our 2003 Land Rover Disco, it's on the passenger side. Had head gasket job done and machined down, replaced spark plugs and wires (#2, 4 & 6 run hot), replaced lifters and cam followers and most 02 sensors. Have god oil pressure and put Penz 10w40 and Lucas in the engine.. It sounds great at start up and 10- minutes later, tick tick tick. I see it all over the internet but no confirmed fixes.

On this site you'll find members who fixed by dealing with the SAI parts, oil pump (you said good pressure - is that with a mechanical guage at cold/warm idle and 2500 RPM - or just the warning light, which comes on at 7PSI), slipped liners, and other items. But are you in the D1 section when you need to be over in D2 area?

To summarise:

2003 model year
You have replaced cam and lifters
You have good oil pressure
quiet when cold, 10 mins after startup it ticks

Sounds exactly like my 2003, and every other 2003 that had liners moving. Even when I posted pictures of the grooves in my firing rings caused by the liners, there were still nay-sayers insisting it was an SAI valve or a manifold gasket.

I'll have ten virtual dollars that you have at least one loose liner. :-)

Well, unfortunately you have thrown way too many parts at it, which will make it harder to find and you will probably have to open it up again.
Send me your number and I'll be glad to walk you thru what to check.
