My transfer case is shot--wont shift into low or hold fluid and it has metal chunks coming out at last service.

My plan is to swap it out with an reman transfer case with a CDL, and add an ashcroft linkage and shifter, and an SRD500070 SLABS ECU at the same time.

I ordered up the parts, but I am wondering what else I should do while I am in there generally? Are there other bolt kits, flanges or seals I should be looking at if I am going to be taking the transfer case off anyway?

If you do not have a serviceable prop-shaft I would most certainly add that to the PO.

Does the tranny need to be pulled to remove / replace the T-case? My guess. Is no. But if so, engin rear main seal, tranny input out put shaft seal and while your there new fluid and filter.

 

The trans does not.
