I swear I saw somewhere that the 4 hole Mustang injectors were a pretty common Disco upgrade.

I actually have a set and tried to install them when I did my head gaskets, but the fuel rail is different between a Disco 1 and Disco 2, so the injectors are also different. Turns out the D2 injectors are longer, but they are also a 4 hole 19 pound design just like the typical D1 Mustang upgrade.

I'm just waiting for you to tell me what to spend money on.

Actually, Alex, given your amazing ability to improve on your Disco II (this is not mere flattery... I have aped some of your mods on my own truck and linked to your mod threads on other sites) with off the shelf stuff intended for other purposes, I'd love for you to put your brain on a supplemental fuel tank. To make things germane, it would be a nice addition to any turbo project.

Hmm, you mean like a reserve tank in case you run out of gas? Flip a switch and viola! You've got more gas?

Yes sir. Like my old Ford. This is my top request.

So this is a new category of posts: mod request. Hahahh

Or here is another good one. Dash pod for radios, gauges, etc. There are a few commercially available and they are pretty expensive for the decent sized ones. I got some plexiglass and used a heat gun on it to make bends, etc but couldn't get it right and decided something else would be better. I was going to paint it on the inside, add a cheap LED and scuff the paint to make it look good at night. I just didn't know what. I ordered an aluminum box and it didn't fit right; also it looked dumb.

Hmm. Homemade roof rack has been done out of PVC and metal. Shelving in the back has been done. Can't think of anything else now.

Wait... getting warmed up....

Hidden air compressor!

Hidden storage!

More places to charge things!

Better bolts for cross members!

Paint and coatings for any spec of rust!

Heat reflective roof!

Slimline 12v roof air conditioner!

Divorce mount transfer case!

Relocate air con dripples away from cats!

Perfect toolkit and a place to put it!

Puddle lights!

Motorized step!

Speedometer correction for bigger tires!

Alternative STEERING STOPS!

Permanent mount sun shade for front!

Automatic sunroof open when the temp hits 120 degrees inside!

Mount points for a tarp!

Adding ACE from the junkyard or cheapie air bags for towing!

Manual windows!

Reasonably priced electric water pump!

Inline fuel pump!

A real fuel filter!

Top mounted spare with no roof rack!

Some use for the ridiculous front roof rails!

Diamond plate [fill in blank]!

Aircraft switches!

Overhead console with switches.

Heads up display!

Perfect cheap jack for lifted and a place to put it!

Cheap good looking snorkel!

Keyless start or a start BUTTON!

Aftermarket alarm or kill switch!

WIFI!

Bluetooth!

Coils relocate!

Ram air!

Motorized back door!

Better air con!

Axle swap!

Cheap lift over 3 inches!

Gears to make me go faster!

Sound insulation to make me feel quieter!

Weight reduction (truck not me)!

Homemade caster correction!

Homemade CDL actuator!

Backup lights that blind people behind me and shine through tint!

The perfect mount for an ultragauge!

The perfect mount for a tablet PC (radio delete)!

More power!

More gas mileage!

The perfect cat delete without getting caught!

Side out exhaust through quarterpanel.

Motorized back side windows!

Non OEM console that locks and/or goes front to back!

Captains chairs in the back!

Seat swaps in the front!

Any drop in diesel conversion!

How to make antennas work on the non metallic top!

Washer nozzles that actually spray or a way to get the wax out of them!!!!

Do it yourself dual batteries! The juices are flowing now.

Lights. More lights!

Water sealing all electricals!

Better brake setup!

Solar panels!

Any part that can be substituted from other makes (Hyundai MAF or idle whatsits, Chevy thermostat--got that one--, Ford Springs or shocks, etc).

Homemade diff and steering rod protection.

Homemade sliders (DiscoMike has these and plans for them)!

Homemade exoskeleton!

Leather headliner!

Cheap fender flares!

Propane conversion for when gas goes back up (have t figure out how to get the kit in the US).

Anyway, that's just a couple of ideas that come to mind. I could think of more if I really applied myself. I know some of these things are available at a premium or have been done with great cost or expertise, but that's not what I'm contemplating.

Disco lights in the headliner? Lambo doors? Stealth technology? Pushbutton oil slick (I already have automatic oil slick... see my driveway)? Faraday cage for computers? **** carpet? Hahah. Okay I'm petering out and feeling kind of bad for what could be considered a long list of gripes about my truck.

Charlie, you've made a hell of a list. Haha

There are actually several of those things I'm working on right now, so keep your eyes peeled and I'll have them up, well, whenever funds are replenished.

I'm glad, and also glad that you share them, because 80% of that list is a real want. Well, maybe 60%.
