I've been telling people this for decades, but the internet came along and now people keep repeating the myth about "a couple pumps of grease" or "not too much, you'll blow out the seals".

I just put a Tom Woods driveshaft in yesterday. Having all those grease fittings are great. No more fighting with old clogged up ujoints. I will maintain these ones properly.

U-joints on any propshaft will clog up if not properly lubed, it has nothing to do with stock propshafts.

Well the stock u-joints are not greasable but yes before I knew better I definitely allowed my 2 greasable u-joints (the 2 that I had replaced a couple years ago) clog up due to bad maintenance. Also my LR front driveshaft did not have a greasable slip shaft or a greasable CV joint.

So now I'm starting with a clean plate. I will rebuild the stock driveshaft and sell it or keep it as a spare.
