Default Unlocking Issue 2004 Disco

So I am having trouble with my LH rear door not unlocking with the keypad or console button. The keypad and center console button will unlock all doors except the LH rear door. To open this door I have to use the interior door lever, on the first pull it will pop up the sill lock and the second pull sill open the door. This leads me to believe the problem isn't superlock related. But when I manually pull up the sill lock it automatically re-tracks itself. Kinda creepy but not sure if this indicates that the actuator is malfunctioning. After I manually open the LH rear door I can then lock it with the keypad or center console button.

Anyone have any idea as to what the repair could be? I am leaning towards replacing the LH rear actuator but since the keypad does lock the manually unlocked door I am not sure? Does an actuator fail for unlocking but not locking?

I have the same exact issue with the same exact door. If I double click my key I can lock the door, but if I want it opened it I have to pull on the inside handle twice.
It's a Pain In The A@@ and I feel your pain. I'm pretty sure our problem is a bad actuator. I've tried pulling the old one out and cleaning it up, but it didn't change a thing.
If I get a new actuator before you and it fixes the problem I'll let you know.

Yes.

There are actually TWO motors inside each actuator. One is for SuperLock. When you hit the button ONCE, does it lock the offending door? Or, do you need to hit the button TWICE to lock it? If twice, then it's the second SuperLock motor that is locking the door, and the first motor has failed. This unfortunately, will not unlock the door, since the first motor does the unlocking. Both my rear doors are exhibiting this behavior right now. I'll be changing both actuators soon.
