What did you do with your DII today?
X2 on involving the children, without going into "what's wrong with the kids today" issue I think it's very important they learn to be self sufficient and not call someone else when the least little thing goes wrong. There is dignity in work and independence. And when your daughter, we have 2, is on a date and the car "breaks down" she will say; no problem I can fix that....
I think that's road side training!
I created more work for myself... Not happy.
I decided since it was over 50 degrees today, I would replace my power steering return hose. I pulled the ac/ace/ps bracket to get to the clamp on the bottom of the ps pump. The bracket fell form where it was propped up and hit the radiator putting a hold in it.
I started following the RAVE to pull the radiator out of my 99 parts DII and my 00 DII , I got to the trans/oil cooler lines. What a PITA. Searched and found some tips that I can separate the coolers form the radiator in the DII. I will try to finish tomorrow.
Hopefully the radiator out of my parts DII will still have me running at 194 degrees.

I flushed the cooling system and put in Peak Global Lifetime coolant. Got it back up and running. Still runs at 194 degrees.

I replaced the cats on mine with one I got off a 03 with only 60k. I also had a leak in the welds on the passenger side flange. Put in some new o2 sensors and now she is nice and quite and I think with the new sensors it seems to be driving a lot smoother now. Btw the driver side front o2 sensor is a pain in the butt to get at.
My Two year old grandson is out helping me every weekend work on the rover or as he says. fix a truck Papa
