What did you do with your DII today?

Well just because we all own the most bad *** off-road vehicles on the planet, doesn't mean they have to look all beat up. I spent the last 2 days trying to return my Disco back to it's glory days when it rolled off the showroom floor. I did a 3 part cut, polish and wax and was really amazed at how much color came back into the paint and how many of the lighter scratches came right out. Be sure to use a DA polisher and an orange foam pad for the cut and polish steps, and a black foam pad for waxing and you will be good. The foam pads are key to a great swirl free finish.

Thanks. Meguiar's is a great off the shelf product. Be sure to use a DA polisher and an orange foam pad for the cut and polish steps, and a black foam pad for waxing and you will be good. The foam pads are key to a great swirl free finish.

Loks good. There are many diferent pads. All have a different cut level. There are also many different compounds/polishes that have different cut levels also. There are a couple of good detailing forums (autogeek and autopia are the ones I look at). I polished my DII last summer. Got rid of a ton of swirl marks from the previous owner.
