I used electrical tape to seal up the flexible part of the air intake tube from the air box to fender. I noticed my air intake temps were a little higher then normal on the ultragauge and after looking around I found the intake tube had some holes and was probably sucking in the hot engine compartment air. I deleted my before picture on accident, but the mesh like material was falling apart and had some good size holes in it. I couldn't find a replacement part so I figured I would give electric tape a shot. The tape sealed it up really go and it doesn't look that bad at all. Nice and cheap repair.

I saw that you got a D1 a while back, that'll be sweet to drive around, I love how the Land Rover 300tdi sounds. What's your plans for that thing?
Lots of plans

Follow the thread on expedition portal for updates, just did the timing belt the other day.

I've checked the expo portal build before, didn't get too far into it, but I got far enough ^ . Really though, I only lurk there, not really involved with the forums on expo. Maybe once I start taking pictures/filming my trips after my axle swap I'll post there more often, but I feel like I'll post the actual build thread here, because on this forum its just blown head gaskets and slipped liners, it'd be nice to see a change.

I posted it over there because it's the crowd that'll really enjoy a build like that. Over here appreciates off roading a little more.

Most of my D2 build has been over here.

Yeah, your right, the D2's have a more off road based crowd (thank god). I just need to actually commit starting the build. I have the axles, which is the biggest part of the build, now I just need... well, a lot of the little things. I'll start my build thread after I actually have everything.

Yeah, well... yes and no. I'm more of the guy who circles around the mall while going 10 miles an hour over the speed limit, NOT slowing down for any speed bumps or pedestrians, with all of my windows open blastin' window shopper by 50 cent with my subs on "max" level.
